Skims, founded by renowned entrepreneur and reality TV star Kim Kardashian, has quickly become a trailblazer in the world of intimate wear and shapewear. With a focus on inclusivity and diversity, Skims offers a wide range of undergarments and loungewear designed to provide both comfort and style for all body types.

Crafted from premium fabrics and innovative designs, Skims products are tailored to enhance natural curves while maintaining a seamless and flattering silhouette. From technically constructed shapewear that enhances your curves to underwear that stretches to twice its size, their goal is to consistently innovate on the past and advance the industry for the future.

The Project

Our challenge was to create digital ads and provide data driven creative guidance to help translate their editorial branding for performance marketing on social channels including Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Pinterest, and TikTok. I began working with Skims when they launched in September 2019 through mid-2021, and during that time we were looking for ways to unlock performance and new audiences with a creative approach that went beyond relying solely on the celebrity founder’s image. What we found through our creative testing process was a healthy mix of creative that drove success. While Kim Kardashian would always be an important piece of the puzzle, having a variety of ad types and diversity among the imagery, models, and featured products was the key to pushing even stronger results.
